worship

Our worship service begins at 11:00 AM, with music rooted in the hymns of the faith.

Our pastor preaches a sermon (30-40 minutes) based on God’s Word with the goal to help us apply God’s Word to our lives.

At every service, our pastor asks if there are requests for prayer from anyone in the congregation. We believe God listens to these prayers, especially when we pray for and with one another!

What We BeliEve

As followers of Jesus Christ, we believe in the good news of the Gospel. This is the very core of our faith:

  • Creation - God made this world and all that is in it.

  • Rebellion - Although the first people God created, Adam and Eve, had complete freedom to live in friendship and trust with Him, they chose to rebel.

  • Redemption - God would have been perfectly just to leave matters there, with all human beings under His holy judgment, but He didn’t. God instead set in motion His plan to save His people from sin and judgment and set free the entire creation from its subjugation to sin and the curse. How? By sending His Son as a true man who would bear the penalty for our sin and die in our place

  • Consummation - God not only rescues lost sinners but He restores all of creation.

The Westminster Confession of Faith was adopted in Westminster Abbey, England in 1647.

As a PCA church, we recognize the core beliefs outlined in the Westminster Confession of Faith, which is rooted in Scripture as the final authority on faith and life.

These core beliefs are summarized below.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice.

God

There is one God, eternal and self-existing in three persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) who are to be equally loved, honored and adored.

Humanity

All mankind participated in Adam’s fall from his original sinless state and is thus lost in sin and totally helpless.

Salvation

The Sovereign God, for no other reason than His own unfathomable love and mercy, has chosen lost sinners from every nation to be redeemed by the quickening power of the Holy Spirit and through the atoning death and resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ.

Those sinners whom the Spirit quickens, come to believe in Christ as Savior by the Word of God, are born again, become sons of God, and will persevere to the end.

Justification is by faith and through it the undeserving sinner is clothed with the righteousness of Christ.

The goal of God’s salvation in the life of the Christian is holiness, good works, and service for the glory of God.

This message of salvation is what we call “the gospel”, translated literally as “good news”.

The Church

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Resurrection

Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
